The Gearshift-Pattern Reverser, the latest in a series of High Performance accessories for the S 1000 RR from BMW Motorrad,inverts the gearbox layout from a ‘one-down five-up’ configuration to a race ‘one-up five-down’ setup.


Running a reversed gear pattern allows track riders and racers to shift up a gear with the bike banked fully over in a left-hand bend, where it would normally be difficult to do so as the rider’s foot could not get under the lever to shift up.
