Sunday 29th April we overnight in the Gladlys Country Hotel on Anglesey so that we can catch the 10am ferry on Monday morning from Holyhead to Dún Loaghaire. Then we ride across Ireland for four nights at the Mill Times Hotel, Westport. Westport is a totally unspoilt west coast town with quaint shops and bars. The hotel has an underground car park and is just two minutes walk from the town centre. Matt Molloy from The Chieftains has his pub here and typical of many of the other bars, traditional Irish music is played by live groups most nights.

We have three full days of motorcycling amidst the coastal roads and mountains of Achill Island, the Partry Mountains, Connemara and Co Galway ... this is Ireland at its very best.

Friday 4th May we depart Westport and head east for the Vale of Avoca and the Woodenbridge Hotel, which is one of Irelands oldest, being established in 1608. Saturday 5th May we catch the 1315 ferry from Dún Laoghaire to Holyhead.

I’ve been motorcycling in Ireland for many years now, and bring to you some of the best motorcycling roads, scenery, hotels, food, wine, Guinness, music and craic that you can imagine. All with a warm welcome thrown in for good measure.

Two ferry crossings and six nights evening meal, bed and breakfast…

Eifel’s of Germany Tour

D-RiedMuehlen-Forsthaus1_01
Saturday 19th May we catch the overnight ferry from Hull to Zeebrugge for our tour of the beautiful Eifel region of Germany. An easy ride across Belgium on Sunday and we are at Hotel Forsthaus at Reidener Mühlen by mid afternoon. Here we have six nights evening meal, bed and breakfast in a typical German family run motorcycling friendly hotel.

We have five days to explore motorcycling nirvana, which is the Eifels. Der Nürburgring, we can have a lap. A motorcycle museum, wine tasting on the Mosel, even a cruise can be on the agenda. Visit a civil aviation museum, where we can have lunch on the Concord. A bell foundry making some of the largest bells you’ve ever seen, dry bobsled run … well who wants to grow up anyway. Maybe visit a nature park where we can see the birds of prey being flown by their handlers.

We return on the overnight ferry from Zeebrugge to Hull on Saturday 26th May.

This is an ideal first trip to the Continent for those new to the game. You will be looked after, helped to secure your bike on the ferry, routes, route sheets, GPS co-ordinates etc all supplied. Ride in a group or do your own thing. We have regulars that come each year for the excellent riding, warm welcome and craic.
